Singer/Songwriter and Motivational Speaker 'Ashaala Shanae', believes that God has purposed her to reach the hearts of young people, and the ears of this generation through her powerful testimony of speech and songs. With a new inspirational project on the horizon entitled "Matters of the Heart", Ashaala intends to be the 'Voice' for the hearts of the young, and young at heart. Teamed with upcoming producers and songwriters throughout the East Coast, Ashaala Shanae's sound promises to be one that's pure, honest, transparent, and relevant for young people of all walks of life. With a conglomorate of musical influences, mixed with spiritually inspired idioms, songs on her new project include the playful album-titled cut,"Matters of the Heart", the girlie-romantic sounds of "Eden Garden Love", the heart-felt contemporary ballad of "I Need You", and the out- pouring confessional of "Take the Wheel". "All these songs depict the roller-coaster ride that the heart takes us on at some point in our life, where only God can reach us. " says, Ashaala Shanae.Brooklyn born, Ashaala Shanae migrated at the age of 4 to the British Virgin Islands, and then later to Miami, Florida at age 17. Within that time, Ashaala Shanae endured and experienced a journey of life-altering events in which she is not afraid to share wherever she goes. Through her music and motivational speaking, she transparently shares her experiences growing up as a teenager challenged by parental abandonment; courageously enduring the burdens of coping in an unstable environment, where emotional, sexual, and verbal abuse, low self esteem, insecurities, negative peer pressure, family issues, drugs, alcohol, and violence, were all too well known. Rising above the challenges in her life, Ashaala Shanae has managed to take those unfortunate experiences of her past, and has transferred her energy and passion into a career involving touring as a background vocalist, Vocal Consultant, Worship Leader at various arts and worship events, Community Service, and Motivational Speaking at prisons, juvenile delinquent facilities, and youth and women conferences. With a degree in Music Business and Entertainment Industries, as well as a Professional Certificate in Business Management for Non-Profit Organizations from the University of Miami, Ashaala Shanae has traveled the world singing as an accomplished background singer for many award winning artists such as: Dove Award Winners - Martha Munizzi and Mary Alessi, Gospel singing sensation, Yolanda Adams, and Grammy Award Winning singer, Betty Wright, just to name a few. Ashaala Shanae has also written for many artists in the music industry and is noted for co-penning DJ Khalid's We da Best/Def Jam Recording Hip Hop Artist, Ace Hood's "Top of the World"; the motivational anthem track on his album release entitled, "Gutta".
